We believe that all things are possible to those who believe and that change requires more than vision but movement. As a result, we have committed our time and energy to undertaking a seemingly impossible task of resolving homelessness in Guilford county and surrounding areas. Weekly we exercise our faith towards this mission through two organizations within our church: Turning Point 180 (homelessness) and Bread of Life Pantry (hunger).
Currently, Turning Point 180 is spear-heading a campaign to restore The Chavis House – a transitional home for homeless men. The Chavis House located in High Point, NC was a donation generously given to Monument of Praise Ministries our High Point, NC location by the Chavis family. Upon completion we will utilize the 3 bedroom, 1½ bathroom housing unit as transitional housing for males experiencing homelessness and help them transition into permanent, safe, and affordable housing.
