Church of Redemption
Pastor Lisa Taylor is a native of Hightstown, New Jersey and was raised in a God-fearing home by her mother Rosie Lee Sherrod and grandmother, Reatha Singleton. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the early age of nine; however it would be through life’s later tragedies and triumphs the Lord would equip her with an end time word to create change in the lives of others.
After serving faithfully in ministry at Emmanuel Pentecostal Temple in New Jersey, and Shabach Ministries of Praise, in Orlando, FL; she was relocated to North Carolina. It was during this transition she discovered her true calling and gained a greater submission to the voice of the Lord which has allowed her to grow in both wisdom and understanding of His Word.
One who shows herself to be approved unto God; she studied Christian Education at United Christian College, Durham extension; finished her undergraduate work at NC A&T State University, in Greensboro and received her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of South Carolina. Utilizing her knowledge and skills as a professional Child and Family Advocate; she uses a counseling style which encompasses an integrative approach with a diverse group of clients. Her unique approach also incorporates her Christian principles to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their emotional patterns and increase the use of mindfulness in their daily lives.
Pastor Lisa currently serves under the tutelage of her Mentor, Teacher, and Bishop, Dr. Kevin A. Williams, of the New Jerusalem Cathedral Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has worked in the administrative office, carried out her duties on the Ministers Council, Deacons Ministry, Greeters Ministry, and Church Outreach Ministries. Answering the call once again; she accepted the appointment from the New Jerusalem Churches of Sound Doctrine as role of Pastor, to The Church of Redemption located in High Point, North Carolina. Pastor Lisa preaches a message of hope to the lost, and brings restoration to the oppressed by ushering in deliverance through the Word, Worship and Praise.
